Woman fatally shot by Santa Ana officers

SANTA ANA, Calif. -- A woman has been fatally shot in a confrontation with two Santa Ana
police officers.
Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna says he had no immediate details on what led to Sunday
morning's encounter in an alley. The woman, who has not been identified, was taken to a
hospital where she later died.
The officers were not injured.
Bertagna told the Orange County Register (http://bit.ly/14RBLqy) a handgun was found in
the alley, but he didn't know whether it belonged to the woman.
The District Attorney's office will investigate the shooting.
