STAFF/CONSULTANT COMMENTS
G. Mouet
As of July 1, majority of park maintenance staff will no longer be with us and
fourteen park sites will cease to be maintained. Part Time positions have been
authorized by the City Manager, and many of the full time staff affected by the lay
offs have accepted part time positions.
Have received calls from volunteer groups offering to assist with park maintenance
projects in the fourteen affected parks. Such calls will be routed to Recreation
Supervisor of the park’s ward to handle. Best we can do because of liability issues
would be to allow volunteers to pick up trash.
M. Lopez
Thank you to Commissioners Nguyen and Madrid for taking a proactive approach
with volunteer services. Will work to see how to move things forward.
BOARD/STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COMMENTS

of refreshment for the meeting.
