On the above date and time, I conducted an audio digital recorded interview of
, regarding the officer involved shooting incident of HANS KEVIN ARELLANO. The
interview was conducted in Spanish by Santa Ana Police Detective PATRICIA NAVARRO who
translated the interview from Spanish to English for me. The following is a summary of the
interview:
On July 30, 2013, at approximately 1500 hours, was working at “Jugo’s La
Tropicana” and was in the kitchen area preparing food for her son, ,
who was inside of the business with her. heard a single gunshot coming from outside
of the business. heard her sister, , who was also an employee and
working inside the business as well, and a female customer, later identified as
( ), yelling.

At that point, thought that the business was being robbed and that her sister,
had been shot at. then ran to the rear of the business to locate her son and
“hugged” him in order to protect him. did not witness the shooting incident.
