Santa Ana Police detective FRANK GOMEZ was also present and provided Spanish translation during the interview. The following is a summary of the interview: was working as a car salesman at Valley View Motors, located at 525 South Harbor Boulevard, in the city of Santa Ana. The location was across the street from the scene of the shooting incident. estimated that he was approximately 100-150 feet from the location of the shooting incident. At approximately 1521 hours, was in the parking lot, near his office, when he heard a single gunshot from across Harbor Boulevard. He looked west from his location and saw a uniformed female police officer, later identified as SAPD Officer JESSICA GUIDRY, holding ORANGE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION INTERVIEW REPORT S.A. 13-017 Investigator: BRETT ANDERSEN Approved By: Date of Report: 07/31/2013 Date: 07/31/2013 Page 2 of 2 a handgun in her right hand. GUIDRY’s handgun was pointed at the torso of a male, later identified as HANS ARELLANO. After the gunshot, saw ARELLANO take a few steps toward GUIDRY, and then collapse to the ground. did not hear any commands or communication between ARELLANO and GUIDRY. At the time of the shooting incident, GUIDRY and ARELLANO were standing close to the north door of the Jugos La Tropicana store, located at 622 South Harbor Boulevard, in the city of Santa Ana. GUIDRY and ARELLANO were standing approximately six feet apart, facing each other, with GUIDRY facing east, and ARELLANO facing west. could not see ARELLANO’s hands. did not see how GUIDRY and ARELLANO ended up in front of Jugos La Tropicana, and described ARELLANO as appearing bigger and stronger than GUIDRY.
