On Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at approximately 1518 hours, Orange County District Attorney
Supervising Investigator MARK GUTIERREZ contacted me regarding an officer involved shooting
incident involving the Santa Ana Police Department. GUTIERREZ requested I respond to 622
South Harbor Boulevard, in the city of Santa Ana, and assist with the investigation.
At 1612 hours, I arrived at the incident location and met with investigators from the
Orange County District Attorney’s Office (OCDA), and from the Santa Ana Police Department
(SAPD), who were present to assist in the investigation.
At 1631 hours, Santa Ana Police Acting-Sergeant OLIVER GRANT conducted a briefing of
the known circumstances surrounding the incident for the personnel involved in the
investigation.
Following the briefing, GUTIERREZ assigned SAPD Detective CLINT ACHZIGER and I to
conduct witness interviews. ACHZIGER and I conducted audio digital recorded interviews of the
following individuals:
