LOCATION: TELEPHONE INTERVIEW
On the above date and time, I conducted an audio digital recorded telephone interview
with regarding the officer involved shooting incident of HANS KEVIN ARELLANO.
The following is a summary of my interview:
On July 30, 2013, was with ARELLANO off and on for most of the day prior to the
shooting incident. On July 30, 2013, at the time of the shooting incident, stated he
“heard the shots,” but was on the opposite side of the Jugo’s La Tropicana building, between
the dental office and Alex’s Arcade, just north of the McDonalds Restaurant at 666 South
Harbor Boulevard. did not have a direct view of where the shooting incident occurred,
and stated, he was “not a visual eye witness” or a “direct eye witness” to the shooting incident.
I asked if he would meet with me for a formal interview in person that evening.
agreed to meet with me at 1700 hours, but just prior to the scheduled meeting
called me back and cancelled saying he was, “stranded in Costa Mesa.” then agreed to
meet with me the following morning.

On Friday November 22, 2013, at approximately 0900 hours, on the morning of the
interview, I telephoned and he stated that he had contacted an ARELLANO family
member and was asked by the family member to contact their attorney prior to speaking to
me. At that time, declined to be interviewed.
