On Monday, March 12, 2019, at 2101 hours, I responded to 1818 S. Evergreen reference an officer involved
shooting.Upon arrival, I directed officers to set up crime scene tape to preserve the scene.The scene
extended from Occidental to the south, Edinger to the north, Evergreen to the east, and Cedar to the west.
Once the scene was secured, I assigned officers to transport involved personnel and citizens to the Santa
Ana Police Department.I coordinated with Sgt. Salo to conduct a safety sweep of the immediate area for
any additional victims or suspects.No other victims or suspects were found. It should be noted that it was
raining at the time and continued to rain for throughout the night.
I remained at the scene to assist Sgt. Lizardi with scene management until 2359 hours when I cleared.
