HUD requires Housing ~uthox~ities to screen all applicants for drug- related and v~.olent criminal activity, and for lifet~.~ne see offender } . registration. National credit Reporting has a proven hitor~r with the Housing uthor,ity and has provided reliable information in a t~.mely manner via its web-based ser~rice at a compet~.tive cost. In dune ~~D~, National Credit Reporting's perfor~ance and rates were compared with two , other vendors National Tenant Network and Ar~.erioan Tenant screening} and, because of its Buick turnaround and competitive rates, was selected to provide these services. The average rate of vouchers utilized ~.n ,fiscal year DOG-D~ was ninety-~ four percent, below the Authority's goal of one hundred percent. Intake of applicants from the wait list has been substantially increased and has resulted in one hundred percent voucher utilizat~.on a of December X007. This .increased activity has depleted the current agreement obligation with National Credit Reporting.
