A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING NEIGHBORHOOD
PROJECT REVIEW NO. 2005-06 TO ALLOW EXTERIOR
MODIFICATIONS TO THE REAR PORCH OF THE
EXISTING RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FOR 713 NORTH
SPURGEON STREET WHICH IS LOCATED WITHIN
SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT ZONE NO. 19 (SD-19)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds,
determines and declares as follows:
A. The Property Owner is requesting approval of Neighborhood Project
Review No. 2005-06 to allow exterior modifications to the rear porch of the
existing residential structure for the property located at 713 North
• Spurgeon Street which is located within the Specific Development 19 (SD-
19) Zoning District (French Park).
B. The French Park Neighborhood Architectural Review Committee has
reviewed the proposal and has communicated its support of the project.
C. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-593.5(c) requires the Planning
Commission to review all plans within a Specific Development Plan area
to ensure that the project is in conformity with the approved Specific
Development.
D. The Planning Commission after considering all of the evidence submitted,
finds and determines that Neighborhood Project Review No. 2005-06
project is consistent with the French Park zoning provisions and Historic
French Park Architectural Design Guidelines.
E. In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the
recommended action is exempt from further review pursuant to Section
15301, which allows for minor alterations to existing structures. A Notice
of Exemption will be filed for this project.
Section 2. The Planning Commission hereby approves Neighborhood Project
Review No. 2005-06. This decision is based upon but is not limited to: the Request for
Planning Commission Action dated August 14, 2006 and exhibits attached thereto, all of
which are incorporated herein by this reference.
