RECOMMENDED ACTION
Receive and file the Quarterly Report of Contracts entered into between
October 1 and December 31, 2008, valued at $25,000 and less.
DISCUSSION
On October 6, 2008, the Agency Board of Directors increased the Executive
Director's authority to execute agreements from an amount not to exceed
$10,000 to $25,000. This is the same authority granted to the City
Manager by the voters through a Charter Amendment in November of 2006.
The authority granted to the Executive Director required the submission
of a quarterly report to the Agency Board at a public meeting on all such
agreements. The report is required to include the names of contractors
and the amounts of each contract.
Exhibit A is a listing of all agreements entered into between October 1
and December 31, 2008, valued at $25,000 and under. Agreements valued at
greater than $25,000 require approval by the Board of Directors.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
