A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER OR
THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND
MANAGEMENT SERVICES OR THE FIRE CHIEF TO ACT
AS AGENT FOR THE CITY WITH THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby, finds, determines and
declares as follows:
The City desires to authorize certain agents to act for the City in the event of
FEMA or Cal- EMA declared disasters, in order to obtain services and funding
without delay.
Section 2. The City Manager or Executive Director of Finance and Management
Services or the Fire Chief are each hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of
the City of Santa Ana, applications, and file the same with the California Emergency
Management Agency for the purpose of obtaining certain federal financial assistance
under Public Law 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and
Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financial assistance under the
California Disaster Assistance Act.
Section 3. The City of Santa Ana, a public entity established under the laws of the
State of California, hereby authorizes its agent(s) to provide the California Emergency
Management Agency for all matters pertaining to such state disaster assistance the
assurances and agreements required.
Section 4. This is a universal resolution and is effective for all open and future
disasters up to three (3) years following the date of approval below.
