The Santa Ana River Vision Plan, which was adopted by the City Council on August 7, 2006, identified this property as an area of opporlunity'm that it could be developed info atrail-side rest area for pedestrians and cyclisfsThe proposed project 'includes decomposed granite paths, benches, bike racks, dreughidolerant landscaping, sycamore trees, and an Irrigation system. Add•on Alfemate Two provides (or recycling receptacles, river rock bollards, and a dry sireambed. The improvements will provide a space far frail users to rest as well as view the existing habitat area The notice inviting bids was advertised on August 24 and 25, 2011, and bids were opened on September B, 2011.
