Direct the Authority General Counsel to prepare, and authorize the
Executive Director to enter into an agreement with Yardi Systems, Inc.,
for an amount not to exceed $85,000 for the upgrade to the Master
Software Program, related training and annual. support.
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION
Recommended that the Housing Authority direct the Authority General
Counsel to prepare, and authorize the Executive Director to enter into
an agreement with Yarda. Systems, Inc., for an amount not to exceed
$85,000 for the upgrade to the Master Software Program, related training
and annual support.

DISCUSSION
The Housing Authority currently uses specialized software in the
administration. of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. This
software is critical to the operation of the Authority and its
obligation to electronically transfer data to the Department of Housing
and Urban Development. The Housing Authority currently uses the Yardi
Systems, Inc. Master Software Program, which is client-server based. At
this time Yardi Systems, Inc. is moving to a web-based system for
housing authorities. This new software wi11 provide timely delivery of

updates to maintain compliance with regulations and also
support capabilities by the vendor. The new system will have
inspection component and will provide :Wore flexibility
informational and statistical reports.
