COMMISSIONER COMMUNICATION DISCLOSURE (REGARDING AGENDIZED PROJECTS) None PROCEDURAL RULES PUBLIC HEARING 1. STREET NAME NO.2012-01 The City of Santa Ana is proposing to name an unnamed street adjacent to the Eddie West Stadium as Stadium Way. PUBLISHED IN THE ORANGE COUNTY REPORTER: November 30, 2012 RECOMMENDATION: Adopt a resolution approving Street Name No. 2012-01. Planning Commission Minutes 3 December 10, 2012 Principal Planner Vince Fregoso presented the staff report and recommendation. The public hearing was opened. There were no speakers. The public hearing was closed. The Planning Commission commented that the street naming was a good opportunity to honor someone notable from Santa Ana and expressed an interest in selecting an alternate to the proposed Stadium Way. ' MOTION: Appoint an Ad Hoc Committee consisting of Commissioners Mill, Nalle and Yrarrazaval to consider an alternative name, and continue the item to January 14, 2013. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2012-27 Blu Croix Ltd., representing Time Warner Cable is requesting approval of a conditional use permit to allow a new hub facility to be built for Time Warner Cable at 1115 East Second Street located in the Specific Development No. 84 (SD84) zoning district. PUBLISHED IN THE ORANGE COUNTY REPORTER: November 30, 2012 PUBLICLY NOTICED: November 29, 2012 ' RECOMMENDATION: Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2012-27 as conditioned. Principal Planner Vince Fregoso presented the staff report and recommendation. No written communications were received. The public hearing was opened. Stephen Slater, representing the applicant answered questions from the Commission relating to security cameras and graffiti removal at the property. The public hearing was closed. Commissioner Nalle stated that he owned property in the adjoining area and recused himself from discussion and voting on the item. MOTION: Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2012-27 as conditioned. Planning Commission added Police condition that security cameras be ' placed such that they had a view around the perimeter of the building as deterrent to graffiti.
