The City and User entered into that certain Recreation Facility Use Agreement dated March 9, 2011, hereinafter referred to as "said Agreement" (#N-2011-036), to allow User to use portions of the Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park to provide summer camp programs to children including residents of the City of Santa Ana. B. The City extended the Agreement in 2012 via a letter agreement to User. C. The parties hereto now desire to amend and extend the term of said Agreement as well as to update Exhibit A of said Agreerew. WHEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective covenants and promises hereinafter contained and made, and subject to all of the terms and conditions of said Agreement as hereby amended, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: Section 3 of said Agreement, Term, is hereby amended to extend the Term through December 31, 2013. 2. Exhibit A is hereby amended and attached hereto to update the Scope of Services. 3. Except as hereinabove modified, the terms and conditions of said Agreement remain unchanged and in full force and effect. Zoo staff and User shall designate in writing any limitations on use of certain portions of the Zoo. The Zoo and You Camp for 5-6 years old At the Santa Ana Zoo Each day will focus on a children's book, including Click, Clack, Moo, Cows That Type, "Slowly, Slowly, Slowly," Said the Sloth, and Are You a Bee? These books will provide the theme for the day as the campers explore associated topics, such as making butter, investigating eggs, and learning about body coverings, such as fur, feathers, scales, and quills. During the camp animal shows, campers will have the opportunity to meet live animals up-close, such as an armadillo, pancake tortoise, and macaw. They will tour the Zoo, play monkey bingo, make an edible bird nest, and much more all in the safety of the barnyard classroom and outdoor amphitheater. 9 AM - 12:30 PM Zoo Camp 7-10 years old At the Santa Ana Zoo Campers will perform some of the jobs associated with working at a zoo, including what a veterinarian, zookeeper, and architect does. Campers will learn the difference between cold-blooded and warm-blooded animals as they use stethoscopes to listen to their own heartbeats and compare them to the heartbeat's of real zoo residents, such as a snake and a rabbit. During an investigation of animal design and modes of movement, campers will test their own balance, strength and hand-eye coordination skills. They will create a model of an animal enclosure and much more, including meeting live animals up-close, such as a snake, iguana and armadillo in the safety of the barnyard classroom and outdoor amphitheater. 9AM-2:30 PM a-g-.
