SANTA ANA CITY JAIL OF PERSONS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
BY THE IRVINE POLICE DEPARTMENT
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR DETENTION
IN SANTA ANA CITY JAIL OF PERSONS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
BY THE IRVINE POLICE DEPARTMENT is entered into on October oe?,
2013, by and between City of Irvine, a charter city and municipal
corporation organized and existing under the Constitution and laws of the
State of California ( "Agency ") and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and
municipal corporation organized and existing under the Constitution and
laws of the State of California ( "City ").
RECITALS
A. The parties entered into the original Agreement# N- 2005 -078 on June 13,
2005 (hereinafter "Agreement ") by which City has housed Agency's
female detainees held in the custody of the Irvine Police Department for
violation of Penal Code section 647(f) being under the influences of
alcohol, drugs or other controlled substance.
B. hz accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the
parties wish to amend the compensation of the Agreement to provide for
an increase in the daily jail rate per prisoner per day to more accurately
reflect the actual costs to the City of providing such services.
WHEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants contained in said
Agreement, and subject to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement,
except those amended in this First Amendment to Agreement, the parties
agree as follows:
L Section 3.a., COMPENSATION, shall be amended to increase the daily
jail rate from eighty -two ($82.00) dollars a day to ninety ($90.00) dollars
a day per prisoner.
2. Except as hereinabove amended, all terms and conditions of said
Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
