MINOR EXCEPTION NO. 2009 -04
10:37 a.m.
Mr. Sergio Klotz, Zoning Administrator, called to order the public hearing in the City Hall
Ross Annex Conference Room 2001.
Also in attendance were: Doug Ely, Sundaram Rama and W. Smallshaw, Applicants;
Kent Robertson, Property Owner; Justin Hill, CB Richard Ellis; Vince Fregoso, Principal
Planner; Ben Kaufman, City Attorney; and Jocelyn Magalona, Recording Secretary.
There were no written communications.
Vince Fregoso presented the staff report and recommendation
Mr. Rama provided a brief project background.
Mr. Ely presented the floor and site plans. Discussion ensued regarding the general
operation, drop -off area, parking, outdoor playground and a proposal to approve an
alternate site plan. Planning Condition 1 was revised to indicate Preferred Option 1 of
the site plan be used as it provides improved circulation; Condition 2 was modified from
13 to 16 percent to be consistent with the new site plan.
Further, Mr. Ely requested that Planning Condition 4 be amended from 40 to 64
children. Mr. Klotz deleted Planning Condition 4 and modified Condition 3 which
already addresses the maximum enrollment of 64 children.
The Zoning Administrator adopted a resolution approving Minor Exception No. 2009 -04
with modifications to the conditions.
The hearing adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
