HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/22/2013ZONING ADMINISTRATOR HEARING MINUTES MAY 22, 2013 CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2013 -09 10:39 a.m. Mr. Sergio Klotz, Zoning Administrator, called to order the public hearing in the City Hall Ross Annex Conference Room 2001. Also in attendance were: Kevin Friedman, Applicant; Ali Pezeshkpour, Assistant Planner; Mike McCoy, Police Department; Ryan Hodge, City Attorney; and Jocelyn Magalona, Recording Secretary. There were no written communications. Mr. Pezeshkpour presented the staff report and recommendation for approval. The Police Department noted the operational standards for a laundromat and pointed out the required parking be upgraded. Discussion and clarification was held regarding the vines /trellis, stone veneer base and the interior /exterior finish details which resulted with the added conditions: add vines at all location with trellises in the north and west elevations; continue the decorative stone veneer around the entire building with cap /ledge; submit an interior finish detail package including counters, flooring, ceiling, etc. prior to plan check; and submit an exterior plaza detail package including tables, decorative pavement, etc. prior to plan check. Planning Condition No. 3 was amended to include the seat wall be installed prior to the issuance of a certificate of occupancy. While making clear the signage is not before him for action, the Zoning Administrator encouraged a sign package of high quality. The applicant stated his agreement with all of the conditions. The Zoning Administrator adopted a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2013 -09 with amended conditions.
