HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/16/2012ZONING ADMINISTRATOR HEARING MINUTES MAY 16, 2012 RESIDENTIAL RELOCATION NO. 2012 -01 MINOR EXCEPTION NO. 2012 -01 10:11 a.m. Mr. Sergio Klotz, Zoning Administrator, called to order the public hearing in the City Hall Ross Annex Conference Room 2001. Also in attendance were: Saul Delgado, Applicant; Delia Orosco and Lupe Zaragoza, Neighborhood Residents; Matt Foulkes, Management Aide; Ryan Hodge, City Attorney; and Jocelyn Magalona, Recording Secretary. There were no written communications. Mr. Foulkes presented the staff report and recommendation for approval. Ms. Zaragoza stated her mom, Delia Orosco, was concerned for her property and wanted clarification; staff explained the project and public hearing process. The applicant provided pictures of other projects that have been completed as samples of their work. Discussion and clarification was held regarding the plans which led to the following conditions being added: turn the roof gable on the second unit to be perpendicular to the first floor; use wood windows on the second unit to match the main house; add a gabled entry and exterior landing to the second unit entrance; enhance the front porch columns of the main house to be consistent with the California Bungalow style; use alternate material other than concrete around the base of the front porch landing of the main house; address the existing Abatement Notice from the Public Works Agency; and the residential relocation permit must be finalized prior to the permit issuance for the second unit except for the foundation permit for the detached garage and second unit. The Zoning Administrator inquired if the applicant read and agreed with all of the conditions. The applicant stated his agreement to all of the conditions. The Zoning Administrator adopted a resolution approving Residential Relocation No. 2012 -01 and Minor Exception No. 2012 -01 with added conditions.
