CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2011 -07
10:36 a.m.
Mr. Sergio Klotz, Zoning Administrator, called to order the public hearing in the City Hall
Ross Annex Conference Room 2001.
Also in attendance were: Carlos Madriles and Adolfo Lopez, Applicants; Vince Fregoso,
Principal Planner; Jay Trevino, Planning & Building Agency Director; Mike McCoy and
Eileen Greene, Police Department; Ryan Hodge, City Attorney; and Jocelyn Magalona,
Recording Secretary.
There were no written communications.
Mr. Fregoso provided an update and stated there is enough space to accommodate a
six -foot wide sidewalk and a six -foot wide outdoor dining area; that the applicants will
need to get an encroachment permit with the Public Works Agency; and is
recommending approval of the project.
Mr. Trevino stated he had conversation with the Public Works Agency Director who
recommended the Zoning Administrator approve the outdoor dining area with enough
latitude to allow Public Works to change some design aspect to circumvent going back
to the Zoning Administrator.
The Zoning Administrator noted he is looking at all components of the project and the
outdoor area was a concern and is satisfied with the updated information.
At staff's recommendation, two added conditions were noted; Planning Condition No. 5
and Police Condition No. 29. Mr. Madriles was in agreement with all of the conditions.
The Zoning Administrator adopted a resolution approving the amendment to Conditional
Use Permit No. 2011 -07 with modified conditions.
The hearing adjourned at 10:43 a.m.
