MINOR EXCEPTION NO. 2012 -03
12:05 p.m.
Mr. Sergio Klotz, Zoning Administrator, called to order the public hearing in the City Hall
Ross Annex Conference Room 2001.
Also in attendance were: Saul Delgado, Applicant; Matt Foulkes, Management Aide;
Ryan Hodge, City Attorney; and Jocelyn Magalona, Recording Secretary.
There were no written communications.
Mr. Foulkes presented the staff report and recommendation for approval.
Discussion and clarification was made regarding the open space, parking and the
Craftsman Bungalow architectural style. The Zoning Administrator noted the location of
the site adjacent to a mix of single - family residences, multi - family and commercial uses
with varying building heights created a more appropriate setting for a two story structure
in the project site. The Zoning Administrator noted excessive stucco in the architecture
and added Condition No. 4 requiring architectural revision to the primary residence and
the second dwelling unit to align with the craftsman bungalow style per the citywide
design guidelines prior to entering into plan check. The applicant agreed to work with
staff to address the requirement.
The Zoning Administrator adopted a resolution approving Minor Exception No. 2012 -03
as conditioned.
The hearin adjourned at 12:31 p.m.
