1. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2014 -04
Evan Weinberg, representing Cismontane Brewing, is requesting approval of a
conditional use permit for a Type 4, 6 and 23 Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC)
licenses for a small beer manufacturer and distillery at 1409 East Warner Avenue,
Suites B and C, located in the Light Industrial (M1) zoning district.

3. PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS
Commissioner Mill
• Received a call on the Lyon project public art at MacArthur & Main Street
reporting that the art is causing some impairment to drivers when the sun hits it.
Mr. Fregoso noted staff has discussed issue with Lyon and noted that it is
currently wrapped in plastic. Lyon has agreed to work with the artist to look at
different finishes on the piece to make sure there is no glare once it is
unwrapped.
• Requested that staff investigate sign at Native Son Alehouse.
• Noted concern that the Little Sparrow Cafe is now only open for dinner.
Commissioner Bacerra
• Noted he attended the Plaza Primavera event in Downtown Santa Ana this past
weekend adding it was great to see the Santa Ana Business Council and the
city's Recreation, Parks & Community Services Agency put on a great event.
• Reported that the Little Sparrow Cafe was voted the best restaurant in Orange
County by the Orange Coast Magazine.

scheduled for Monday, April 14, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council
