MINUTES MOTION: Approve the minutes of the regular meeting on July 14, 2014 as corrected (minor grammar correction to Commissioner Bauer's comments). * * * END OF CONSENT CALENDAR * * * BUSINESS CALENDAR PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES 1 JULY 28, 2014 lei COMMISSIONER COMMUNICATION DISCLOSURE (REGARDING AGENDIZED PROJECTS) Commissioner Mill disclosed for CUP No. 2014 -28 [Agenda Item No. 4] that he received an email from the applicant, Mr. Cho with an offer to tour the facility, which he respectfully declined. Commissioner Nalle disclosed for Agenda Item No. 4 he received an email from the applicant, Michael Cho, offering a tour of the building, which he respectfully declined. Commissioner Bacerra disclosed that he had telephone communication with Mr. Cho regarding Agenda Item No. 4. Commissioner Gartner disclosed that he also received email communication from Mr. Cho on Agenda Item No. 4 to tour the facility, which he respectfully declined. Commissioner Bauer disclosed that he also received email communication from Mr. Cho on Agenda Item No. 4 to tour the facility, which he respectfully declined. Commissioner Yrarrazaval disclosed that he received the same email from Mr. Cho on Agenda Item No. 4 and did not respond. He also disclosed that that he attempted to visit the facility, but it was closed and no other communication was made. Chairman Alderete disclosed that he received an email from Mr. Cho on Agenda Item No. 4 on July 21 with an offer to tour the facility and /or answer any questions to which a reply was made on July 23 that he was away on business and was not able to visit, and had no questions. PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS Commissioner Yrarrazaval: • Inquired on how the housing in -lieu fees are used. • Commented that upon travelling on Interstate 5 to the 55 Freeway, he noticed the Madison site [mentioned on a prior Work Study Session] and was concerned with the visibility of the project from the freeway. Commissioner Mill: • Commented that he has spoken with a few homeowners regarding the historic registry and inquired on how the application packet can be acquired. (Vince Fregoso answered that they available online and would forward the link.) PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES 4 JULY 28, 2014 Commissioner Bauer: • Attended the 1 St Annual Taste of Santa Ana event, sponsored by the Assistance League of Santa Ana and hopes it grows into a bigger event. 7.
