C. COMMISSIONER COMMUNICATION DISCLOSURE (REGARDING AGENDIZED
PROJECTS)
Commissioner Bacerra disclosed that he met with Mr. Harry Kho and Mr. Evan
White on May 9, 2014 regarding agenda item no. 3 for Spurgeon Social and did not
discuss anything further than what is included in the staff report.
Commissioner Mill disclosed that on May 7, 2014, he met with applicant regarding
agenda item no. 2 for Last Call on Broadway at City Hall to direct her to the planning
desk to drop off plans and show her where different departments were located.

A project overview was provided by Hally Soboleske, Associate Planner. Chairman
Alderete opened the public hearing. There were no speakers or written
communications and the hearing closed.
MOTION:
1. Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2013 -21 to allow a
Type 41 Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) license.
2. Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2013 -22 as conditioned
to allow business operations until 2:00 a.m.
3. Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2013 -23 as conditioned
to allow a banquet use.

A project overview was provided by Ali Pezeshkpour, Assistant Planner I. Chairman
Alderete opened the public hearing. Planning Commission discussion ensued
regarding the closing hours of other restaurants in the Downtown and the crime rate
of the area. There were no speakers and the hearing closed.

Inquired on the status of the Adaptive Reuse Ordinance and when it is expected
to be brought before the Commission.
