Heidler and Jennifer Luis from Tom's Trucks on July 29, 2013 regarding item no. 8; and disclosed that he spoke today with Peter Zehnder regarding tonight's Adaptive Reuse Ordinance. Commissioner Yrarrazaval and Gartner both disclosed that they also spoke with Mr. Heidler and Ms. Luis regarding item no. 8. Vice Chair Mill disclosed that he also spoke with Mr. Heidler and Ms. Luis regarding item no. 8 and discussed the plans they had for the digital sign and its use for community service messages; stopped by the Copper Door and briefly spoke to `Mark' (employee) regarding the type of events held at the location. PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS Commissioner Bacerra PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES 5 SEPTEMBER 22, 2014 • Mentioned that the meeting ended on a good note in supporting long -time business owners. • Read a news article that positively spotlighted Downtown businesses. Commissioner Gartner • Was pleased with how beautiful Broadway street improvements look. Commissioner Bauer • Expressed concern over how medical marijuana dispensaries are affecting surrounding neighborhoods in a negative way. Vice Chairperson Mill • Read the O.C. Weekly regarding medical marijuana dispensary locations in Santa Ana and was astounded by the high number. • Noticed illegal signage at various Downtown locations including signs that were taped or spray painted onto walls and awnings.
