Commissioner Bacerra disclosed that on November 10, he spoke via telephone
with applicant (agenda item no. 1).
PUBLIC HEARINGS
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NOS. 2014-33,2014-34,2014-35, AND 2014 -42
(Applicant: Alvin Oh /Copper Door.)
Item previously continued from the October 27, 2014 meeting by a vote of 6:0
(Alderete absent).
Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on November 13, 2014 and
notices mailed November 14, 2014.
A project overview was provided by Hally Soboleske,
Associate Planner. Vice - Chairman Mill opened the public hearing. The applicant
spoke in support of the project. There were no other speakers and the hearing was
closed.
MOTION:
1. Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2014 -33 to
allow a Type 47 ABC license.
2. Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2014 -34 to
allow afterhours operations until 2:00 a.m. as conditioned.
3. Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2014 -35 to
allow a banquet use as conditioned.
4. Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2014 -42 to
allow an indoor commercial recreation use as conditioned.

Karen Haluza
• Attended the Orange County Business Council, where the City was presented
with the Turning Red Tape into Red Carpet Award for work on the transit zoning
code that resulted in The Depot and Terraces at Santiago projects.
Vince Fregoso
Wished all a Happy Thanksgiving on behalf of staff.
PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS
All commissioners wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
Commissioner Bauer
• Commented on the growth of commercial digital signs and asked questions on its
enforcement.
Vice Chairperson Mill
• Wished Commissioner Gartner a Happy Birthday.
• Mentioned the laborious work recently completed with the Historic Resources
Commission meetings.
