My name is Simon Kings and I have lived on South Ross St for 25 years, in the Wilshire Square
Neighborhood.
Thank you so much for considering some help for the Wilshire Square Christmas Parade.
I understand that the cost to the neighborhood of the Police Motorcycle Officers is now beyond what
the Neighborhood Association can afford in the future.
This Parade is greatly enjoyed by hundreds of spectators, young and old, throughout Wilshire
Square. In no way is it some kind of elitist event. The route it takes, includes Sycamore and
Garnsey, and might well serve to encourage more neighborhood participation from these residents.
Without question the Parade lifts everyone's spirits!
Thank you so much for looking at ways to minimize the cost of Police protection so that hundreds of
Santa Ana residents can still enjoy their Christmas Parade.
