WORK STUDY SESSION
5. BRISTOL STREET WIDENING PROJECT UPDATE
Vince Fregoso, Interim Executive Director, provided a PowerPoint presentation with
an overview of future amendments to the Bristol Street Specific Plan, which included
a preview of:
• Amendment application to update to zoning ordinance
• Proposed amendments for land use related to several remnant parcels
• General Plan consistency
• Addendum to environmental document
Kenny Nguyen, Civil Senior Engineer (Public Works Agency) fielded questions from
the Planning Commission. Various property owners /stakeholders approached the
podium concerned about how these proposed changes to Bristol Street Corridor
would affect their properties. Mr. Nguyen made himself available after the discussion
to answer questions.

Assistant Planner I. Chair Alderete opened the public hearing. There were no
speakers and the hearing was closed.
MOTION: Adopt a resolution approving Street Naming No. 2015 -01 to change
a segment of Raitt Street to Jaguar Way.

(restaurant owner) spoke in support of the project. There were no other speakers
and the hearing was closed.

allow a Type 47 ABC license.

Commissioners Gartner and Verino
• Concurred with Vice Chair Mill's earlier commendation to Westfield MainPlace for
their marketing strategy and for beautifying the mall.
Commissioner Bauer
• Reminded all present regarding Downtown's "Savor Santa Ana" event on
Thursday.
Chair Alderete
• Welcomed Commissioner Verino since he was not present at the last meeting.
