MOTION: Approve the minutes of the regular meeting of February 9, 2015.

C. MINOR EXCEPTION NO. 2015 -01
Salvador and Aida Perez are requesting a minor exception to allow the
construction of a second dwelling unit above a detached garage at 1221 South
Orange Avenue in the Single Family Residence (R1) zoning district.
MOTION: Confirm the Zoning Administration's action approving Minor
Exception No. 2015 -01 as conditioned.

speakers and the hearing was closed.

allow a Type 41 ABC license.

Vince Fregoso
• Mentioned staff will work with Eqeko to meet any future needs.
7. PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS
Commissioner Bacerra
• Thanked Vince Fregoso for offering to help Eqeko.
• Attended the 4t" Street Market grand opening last week, which has received
great reviews.
• Mentioned an article from the Orange County Register stating positive news
about Santa Ana's adaptive reuse ordinance and cultural diversity.
Commissioner Gartner
• Mentioned about the Little Sparrow restaurant appearing on Bravo Network's
show "Next Best Restaurant ", premiering February 25.
Commissioner Verino
• Enjoyed attending the Savor Santa Ana event last week.
Commissioner Nalle
• Mentioned the passing of Henry Segerstrom and suggested that the meeting be
adjourned in his memory.
Commissioner Bauer
• Echoed the same sentiments about 4t" Street Market and the great turnout at the
Savor Santa Ana event.
Vice Chair Mill
• Commented on the recent Fair Political Practices Commission formal complaint
against him and against Chairman Alderete, as well as new accusations brought
before him regarding comments made in 1988.
