The City operates a Public Education and Government (PEG) Channel, more commonly known as
CTV3, which broadcast government information and community programming, including the City
Council Meetings being broadcast live and on replay. Currently Council Committee Meetings are not
recorded or broadcasted. In order to increase the capabilities of recording audio and video in
Conference Room 1600, staff prepared a list of necessary equipment. As a result, bids were
solicited through the purchasing process and the lowest bid was selected as a reliable vendor. The
low bid amount was $18,218.25 not inclusive of tax or shipping. Prior equipment purchases
combined with this purchase order exceeds the $25,000 aggregate limit and requires Council
approval.
