BUSINESS CALENDAR
COMMISSIONER COMMUNICATION DISCLOSURE (REGARDING AGENDIZED
PROJECTS):
All commissioners disclosed that they were contacted by Todd and /or Barry Cottle
(regarding agenda item no. 1), and Commissioner Bauer disclosed that he spoke
with Messrs. Cottle.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. VESTING TENTATIVE TRACT MAP NO. 2015 -01
(Applicant: 520 South Harbor, LLC)
Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on June 9, 2015 and notices
mailed June 11, 2015.
A project overview was provided by Ali Pezeshkpour, Assistant Planner I, who
fielded questions from the Commission. Chairman Gartner opened the public
hearing. No written communication was received for this project. Mr. Wesson,
adjacent property resident, stated that he was not informed of the project and was
concerned with the proximity of the project to the mobile home park next door. The
applicant answered questions regarding the fire access point to the rear of the
property, community outreach meeting requirements, and in -lieu fees.
MOTION: Adopt a resolution approving Vesting Tentative Tract Map No. 2015-
01 as conditioned.

3. STAFF COMMENTS
Hassan Haghani
• Introduced himself to the Commission.
• Stated that the next agenda will include forming a Design Review Process
subcommittee and also a Zoning Ordinance subcommittee, and requesting two
or three members per subcommittee to participate.
4. PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS
All commissioners welcomed Mr. Haghani and expressed excitement in working
together. Additional comments listed below:
Commissioner Alderete
Mentioned he was familiar with Mr. Haghani's work in the city of Glendale.
Commissioner Bacerra
• Stated he had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Haghani over lunch.
• Thanked Vince Fregoso and Verny Carvajal for their work and support during the
interim period.
Chairman Gartner
• Stated he also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Haghani over lunch and thanked
him for choosing Santa Ana.
• Showed excitement over Downtown Santa Ana's changes over the last 10 years.
• Thanked Messrs. Cottle for their development projects that have made Santa
Ana a better place to live.

6:06 P.M. - The next meeting of the Planning Commission is scheduled
for Monday, July 13, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber, 22
Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California.
