RECOMMENDED ACTION
Receive and file the Quarterly Report of Contracts entered into between July 1, 2015 and September
30, 2015, valued at $25,000 and less.
DISCUSSION
On October 6, 2008, the Housing Authority increased the Executive Director’s authority to execute
agreements to an amount not to exceed $25,000. Agreements valued at greater than $25,000 require
approval by the Board of Directors. This is the same authority granted to the City Manager by the
voters through a Charter Amendment in November 2006. The authority granted to the Executive
Director requires the submission of a quarterly report (Exhibit 1) to the Housing Authority at a public
meeting on all such agreements. The report is required to include the names of each contractor and
the amounts for each contract.
STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT
Approval of this item supports the City’s efforts to meet Strategic Plan Goal #4 Fiscal Sustainability,
Objective # 1 (Maintain a stable, efficient and transparent financial environment).
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
