1. Elect a Chairperson of the Historic Resources Commission for the year 2014.
2. Elect a Vice Chairman of the Historic Resources Commission for the year 2014.

Commission for the year 2014.

REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2014-01
Filed by Sherrie A. Gibson, to allow the placement and categorization in the Santa Ana
Register of Historical Properties as Contributive for the property located 2214 North
Greenleaf (Jacobs House).

RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2014-01
and Historic Register Categorization No. 2014-01.
Associate Planner Hally Soboleske presented the staff report and recommendation.
The public hearing was opened.
Sherrie Gibson, homeowner, thanked Commissioners for consideration of designation.

2. STAFF COMMENTS
Principal Planner Klotz noted the next meeting will be held on July 3rd and will notify
Commission if there are any items on that the agenda and will check on their
availability.
3. HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION COMMENTS
Commissioner Garcia
• Invited all to attend the Floral Park Neighborhood Home and Garden Tour on April
26th & 27th.
Commissioner Christy
• Thanked Commission for being elected Vice Chairperson noting she looks forward
to serving.
• Invited Commissioners to become members of the Santa Ana Historical
Preservation Society.
• Invited all to attend the "Meet & Greet" with the Mayor & Council members and their
appointees to boards and commissions on April 10 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall
Lobby.
Vice Chair Mill
• Encouraged City Council to fill the two vacant seats on the Historic Resources
Commission.
Commissioner Rosas
• Noted it is good to see everyone and wished everyone a Happy 2014.
Chairman Schaefer
• Requested that the fee for historic designation be reduced and asked staff to provide
a report at the next meeting.
4. EXCUSE OF ABSENCES
Motion by Commissioner Christy and seconded by Vice Chair Mill to excuse the
absence of Commissioner Bustamante and Commissioner Hitterdale and approved
unanimously by a vote of 5:0.
ADJOURNED 5:12 P.M. - The next meeting of the Historic Resources Commission is
scheduled for Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber,
22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California.
