Commissioner McLoughlin disclosed discussion with Mindy Andrews on Item C. Chairman
Gartner disclosed meeting with Jill Wallace on Item No. 1.

1. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2016-21
(Applicant: David Weissglass - Super King Market, 2741 West MacArthur Boulevard)
Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on May 13, 2016 and notices
mailed May 13, 2016.
A project overview was provided by Ali Pezeshkpour, Senior Planner. Chairman
Gartner opened the public hearing. Correspondence received from SA Residents in
opposition of the project. Daniel Barth, applicant, answered questions and spoke in
support of the project. There were no other speakers on the matter and the hearing
was closed.
MOTION:
Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2016-21.

(Applicant: City of Santa Ana — Amend SAMC Chapters 22 & 41 Massage Establishments)
Legal notice published in the Orange County Register on May 13, 2016.
A project overview was provided by Ricardo Soto, Associate Planner. Police
Commander Ken Gominsky noted amended language would better regulate
massage businesses. Chairman Gartner opened the public hearing, there were no
public speakers and the hearing was closed.
MOTION:
Recommend that the City Council:
1. Adopt an ordinance approving Ordinance Amendment No. 2016-01 to
revise Santa Ana Municipal Code (SAMC) Chapter 22 — Massage
Establishments.
2. Adopt an ordinance approving Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 2016-01
to revise SAMC Chapter 41, Article XVIII (Massage).
