This action informs the City Council of the imminent approval of the subdivision based upon the
Subdivision Map Act and meeting all of the conditions of approval set by the City. The City
Engineer has received Final Parcel Map No. 2013 -170 (City Parcel Map No. 2014 -01), for 923
North Santiago Street (Exhibit 1), from the current owner, Depot at Santiago, L.P., a California
Limited Partnership, and is in the process of reviewing the map for final approval.
This subdivision is approved to divide one parcel into two. The subdivision is located in the
Transit Zoning (Specific Development No. 84) and Heavy Industrial /Open Space (M2 -OZ) zoning
districts to develop a multi -level mixed use residential and commercial project. The Tentative
Parcel Map No. 2013 -170 was approved by the City Council on June 17, 2014. Pursuant to
Section 34 -183 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, the City Engineer shall approve or disapprove
this map within 10 days after the City Council meeting of January 17, 2017.
STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT
Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #3 - Economic Development,
Objective #2 (create new opportunities for business /job growth and encourage private
development through new General Plan and Zoning Ordinance policies).
