With this new <br />assignment, he now oversees projects such as Marlposa County's rehabiiltatlontreplaoement of five bridges <br />that Is currently in the preliminary engineering phase. <br />i Mr. Gordon's career includes serving as a staff member of the Shasta County Department of Public Works, <br />Caltrans Division of Structures, and the Chy of Redding's Department of Public Works performing detailed <br />and complex design, construction management, and division management and supervision. Throughout his <br />career, Mr. Gordon's focus has been on the delivery of road and bridge projects and the various appurte- <br />nances associated with them. <br />Mr. Gordon has dealt with complex environmental compliance Issues involving CEQA and NEPA as well as <br />developed considerable experience with resource agency permitting Issues. The experience and insight <br />gained from working directly with these agencies have proven invaluable in understanding and appreciating <br />the varying needs of the different types of agencies that Wilidan serves and developing the best solutions <br />for those needs. <br />Relevant Project Experience <br />Emerald Bay Main Gate Safety improvements, Emerald Say Service District, Laguna Beach, Califor- <br />nia, Structural Engineering Task Leader responsible for responding to structural requests for Information <br />during construction and redesigning various structural elements to accommodate utility lines discovered <br />during construction. Performance of these responsibilities requires expertise and knowledge In various <br />structural building codes such as ACI, AASHTO, and CBC as well as construction practices and principles. <br />Wilidan provided civil and traffic engineering design and other appurtenant services for safety Improvements <br />at the main gate entrance. Improvements involved road widening, guardhouse relocation and reconstruo- <br />I tion; grading to accommodate the roadway widening and landscaping; Installing upgraded lighting, ADA - <br />compliant curbs and ramps, retaining and monument walls; widening the right -tum pocket and installing a <br />median; and installing street striping and signage within Caltrans' right-of-way. <br />Lakewood BoulevardiDal Amo Boulevard Hot Spot Intersection Improvement, City of Lakewood, <br />California. Structure Engineering Task Leader responsible for overall structural design of culvert structural <br />and retaining walls. Performance of these responsibilities requires expertise and knowledge In various de- <br />sign codes such as AGB and LACFCD for work within a concrete channel under Los Angeles County Flood <br />Control District jurisdiction.
