The <br />existing traffic signal control and interconnect equipment <br />was upgraded to be fully compatible. The upgrade <br />improved communications between each dVs trafFio <br />management centers, allowing regional communication <br />exchange about status and programming. New <br />timing plans were developed permitting for increased <br />compatibility across the city boundaries. All 26 existing <br />signals were synchronized based on four time periods: <br />early morning, noon, evening peak, and off-peak. We <br />used signal timing software to account for day-to- <br />day variations In traffic Stows. Reid (Project Engineer) <br />Relevancy: Full PS&Es and construction suppW services <br />through project completion, comprehensive A-E services, <br />improved h'a0ic flow and safety <br />We provided architecture and engineering services to <br />widen southbound Campus Drive and an additional <br />600 -foot -long, third right -tum lane onto northbound <br />Bristol Street Our work included partially demolishing <br />and reconstructing an existing maintenance building, <br />reconstructing existing traffic facilities, installing a new <br />overhead sign, relocating utilities, and providing minor <br />grading and re -vegetation. We coordinated closely with <br />JWA, the County of Orange, Caltrans, and the City of <br />Newport Beach to satisfy stakeholtees needs. <br />We provided full PS&Es and construction support <br />services throughout the successful project completion. <br />25E-771 <br />
