Beach Boulevard/WornerAvenue intersection <br />improvements, Huntington Beach, CA <br />(Project Manager and Traffic Engineer) <br />Keith provided preliminary engineering, feasibility study, <br />and project report preparation for Improvements to this <br />major Intersection. intersection widening alternatives <br />Included evaluation of exclusive right -turn lanes for <br />exp rod 8030 traffic conditions. Services included a <br />kaser Goan design survey, utility and right-of-way research, <br />development of geometric alignment plans for each <br />adtemative, and Imptamentationcost ostimates, Technical <br />memorandums were prepared for documentation of <br />pmW features and design criteria and the traffic anslysts, <br />The traffic analysis identified levet of service (LOS) <br />improvements and design queues associated with each <br />aitemative using the TratBx and SynchroTM Models, An <br />encroachment permit was obtained from Cattmns for <br />conducting to design survey within state right of way. <br />Free Right Turn Lane at Fred Waring Drive and <br />Highway 111, Palm Desert, CA <br />(fraft Design Task Manager) <br />Keith provided services for a free right turn lane from <br />westbound Fred Waring Drive to northbound Highway Ill. <br />The proposed free right -tum lane will replace the existing <br />dual right turn lanes and wig reduce congestion at the <br />knkirseation by eliminating signalized control forthe right- <br />turn <br />ightturn movement. The specific elements of work Include <br />traffic signal modifications and signing and striping design <br />pleas. <br />Oso Parkway Roadway Widening, Mission Viejo, CA <br />(Traffic Design Task Manager) <br />Kelt, managed preliminary and final design plans for <br />wlderdng Improvements on Oso Parkway between the <br />15 freeway and County Club Drive, He prepared a tragic <br />capacity and operations analysis of widening alternatives <br />and recommended adding one lane In each direction <br />on Oso Parkway and modifying the signals at the 15 <br />ramps County Club and Montanoso Drives. The widening <br />Improvements will require the acquisition of additional right <br />of way on both sides of the street and relsoation of several <br />allies along the existing sidewalks. The City <br />of Mission V*, having assumed ressponsibility for project <br />Implementation, selected the firm to modify the original <br />design to provide greater capacity Improvementon the off. <br />ramp. The Improvements provided two additional lanes at <br />the rang terminus.and Included redesigning the geometric <br />cross-section of the ramp, a raised channeiizalion Island, <br />signing and striping, and baftla signal and ramp motor <br />modification. This project required coordination and review <br />from Caltrans. <br />Smokeless, Lane and JeRroy Road Intersection <br />Improvements, Irvine, CA (Project Manager) <br />Keith oversaw widening improvements and traffic signal <br />Installation at the Intersection of Smoketree Lane and <br />Jefhay Rand in the City of Irvine. Services included field <br />design survey, roadway widening on Smoketree Lane to <br />provide exclusive right and heft -tum lanes at Jeffrey Road, <br />tht-away engineering, new traffic signal Installation, <br />efgriing and striping Improvements, concrete bus pad <br />Installation, geolechnkml and hydrology analysis, utility <br />coordination and potholing, and landscaping and irrigation <br />system improvements..He also prepared separate traffic <br />control plane for construction of the project improvements. <br />25E-809 <br />U <br />
