<br />10- CSG was selected as the design consultant for the City's 2016 
<br />pavernentproject, The scope Involved the rehabilitation of more then 
<br />60 street segmehts,,totaling over 7;S centerline miles, In various 
<br />W - locations throughout the city, After performing a deflection analysis 
<br />on the most severely distressed pavements, three remediation 
<br />methods were chosen, consisting of Overlays, Thin Maintenance 
<br />Overlays, and Micro -surfacing, CSG staff conducted site visits to assess 
<br />location of'dlgout repairs, an inventory of existing iron (manholes, 
<br />valves, etc.), avaluatlon of curb, gutter and sidewalk In need of repair, 
<br />and evaluation of curb ramps for ADA conformance, CSG was also 
<br />tasked with evaluation of several areas of existing brick pavers and determining a repair methodology; All 
<br />findings were documented through field notes and photographs, 
<br />JUNIPERO SERRA BLVD AT KiNG DRIVE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS I CITY 
<br />OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA 
<br />CSG was selected by the City of South San Francisco to redesign the intersection of Junipero Serra Boulevard 
<br />and King Drive. The project goal was to improve mobilityfortit modes, and bring the intersection up to 
<br />current standards for bicyclists, pedestrians, and ADA access. CSG's team developed the project from 
<br />preliminary design, lead the community;outreaeh prMeesawith multiple' public meetings, multiple agency 
<br />coordination Including Caltrans, City of Daly City, and thosouth San Francisco Bicycle and pedestrian Advisory 
<br />Committee, and completed final design while managing the federal funding process, The project scope 
<br />Included redesign of the existing medians and right4urn islands to Improve intersection geometry and 
<br />provide ADA compliance. Replacement of the existing traffic signals located in the median with mast arm 
<br />signals to Improve visibility; upgrade of the existingtraffic signals to provide protected left4um phasing for 
<br />King Drive; addition of a speed feedback sign on southbound Junipero Serra Boulevard to increase driver 
<br />awareness of the posted speed limit; Installation of standard ADA curb ramps throughout the intersection to 
<br />Improve pedestrian accessibility; addition of pedestrian signal heads and countdown timers at all crosswalks 
<br />to Improve podestrionsafety, and extension of existing bike lanes, along Junipero Serra Boulevard through 
<br />the King Drive intersection to improve bicycle safety, 
<br />2017 MEASURE J be L AND ANNUAL PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT 
<br />CITY OF ORINDA, CA 
<br />The City of Orinda selected CSG to manage and design their 2017 Annual Pavement and Measure J & L 
<br />project. The project rehabilitated 62 road segments and 10,00011near feet of storm drain pipes at various 
<br />locations throughout the City. The pavement rehabilitation methods included full depth reconstruction (FDR) 
<br />utilizing a.cement subgrade stabilization mix, and -hot mix asphalt deep lift mill and fill replacements. Due to 
<br />the depth of Impact of the pavement rehabilitation methods, utility investigations bird coordination were 
<br />heavily conducted with PG&E, EBMIlD, and AT&T during the pavement rehabilitation method selection 
<br />process. Storm drain pipe improvements included pipe replacement, The supplementary Improvements also 
<br />Included upgraded curb ramps, minor concrete replacements, striping, utility adjustments, street regarding, 
<br />Installation of new storm drain Inlets, tree trimming, etc. CSG conducted pavement Investigations Idefleetion 
<br />testing, coring, and R -Wine testing), storm drain.CCTV Investigations and rehabilitation recommendations, 
<br />coordinated stakeholders, developed the PS&E bid package, and provided bid and construction support for 
<br />the project in addition, CSG developed a technical memo identifying a decision flow chart for stream lining 
<br />the design phase of the Cityto Identify appropriate pavement rehabilitation treatments for the future road 
<br />segments Included In the Measure J & L funded road rehabilitation program, 
<br />FAIR OAKS BIKEWAY AND STREETSCAPE I CITY OF SUNNYVALE, CA 
<br />The City of Sunnyvale proposed to construct safety Improvements along Fair Oaks Avenue between Old son 
<br />Francisco Road and Evelyn Avenue, and between Kifer Road and Ahwonee Avenue. Project scope Included 
<br />three public meetings and the development of several class I, II, and 111 bike lane alternatives along Fair Oaks
