Maine Avenue <br />Is a potentially underutilized corridor that is being <br />transformed into a quality multimodal corridor, Improving <br />access to the City's downtown and Metrolink station. <br />We analyzed multimodal transportation needs for the <br />corridor, including a first phase that has been funded <br />through the State/Federal Safe Routes to School <br />(SRTS) program. The analysis included feasibility <br />for a road diet to provide space to address sidewalk <br />ADA deficiencies and bicycle lanes, Roundabouts and <br />curb extensions are being featured prominently In the <br />completed plan <br />We have recently completed the final design phase, <br />funded through the ATP program. Pampara (Project Engineer), <br />& Reid (Project Engineer) <br />Relevancy; Complete Streets#ocus,- comprehensive A-E <br />services, state-of-the-art multimodal trail <br />Connecting Coachella Valley cities and tribal lands with <br />a safe, continuous, multimodal trails for pedestrians, <br />bicyclists; and low -speed electric vehicles. <br />CV Link's design will change the landscape of the <br />Coachella Valley with features and forms unprecedented <br />In trail design, The CV Link Master Plan calls for 52 trail <br />miles, 690 permanent jobs,12 million annual vehicle miles <br />saved, and $1,47 billion in economic benefits for the area, <br />The results will include relieved congestion on Highway <br />111, improved air quality, increased tourist amenities <br />and mobility, community recreation and fitness, and a <br />stimulated economy, <br />The Stantea team, led by Sherry Weinmeier, provided <br />civil and traffic studies and design improvements for this <br />world -class network of shared trails that links communities <br />from Palm Springs to Coachella. Our scope included flood <br />studies and the civil design improvement plans for the <br />alignment within the public road right of way, including <br />traffic signals, ADA Improvements, and Intersection <br />controls. <br />
