<br />Carlos managed civil engineering design and field survey
<br />services for the design of Butterfield Stags Road, Phase
<br />3 Improvements. This project widened 4,300 lineal feet of
<br />Butterfield Stage Road from La Serena Way to Rancho
<br />California Road from a two to a four -lane roadway with
<br />bike lanes and a raised median. The project widened
<br />the easterly side of Butterfield Stage Road and the plans
<br />required permits from the City of Temecula, County
<br />of Riverside Transportation Department, and Flood
<br />Control District. The project involved extensive grading,
<br />20-foot-high retaining wall design, and three drainage
<br />culvert extension. The project designed the Butterfield
<br />Stage Road and Rancho California Road intersection
<br />Improvements, which Included a traffic signal modification;
<br />widening of 1,000 linear feet of Rancho California Road,
<br />and drainage improvements. Design plans included plan
<br />and profile plans, signing and striping plans, grading plans,
<br />erosion control plans, drainage plans, retaining wall plans,
<br />street lighting plans, trafflo signal modification plans, and a
<br />water quality management plan.

<br />Carlos managed the design of bulbouts, landscaping, and
<br />irrigation at two hil Intersections in residential
<br />neighborhoods. The project also installed a median and
<br />associated landscaping and irrigation at another high
<br />profile Intersection. Work also included public outreach
<br />In coordinating the work with nearby schools. The
<br />Improvements Improved pedestrian visibility and reduce
<br />vehicle speeds.

<br />rehabilitation/paving project, including project scoping

<br />management, including processing/administration of
<br />Federal and state funds; design oversight; bidding and

<br />Cerritos Avenue Widening, Cypress, CA

<br />Carlos managed widening of Cerritos Avenue to relieve
<br />an existing bottleneck. The widening Improvement design
<br />was accomplished without right-of-way acquisition,
<br />Improvements included street widening to provide
<br />additional through capacity; removal and replacement
<br />of curb, gutter, sidewalk, curb ramps, and driveways;
<br />relocation of traffic signals, power poles, light poles, fire
<br />hydrants, and utllity boxes; and asphalt paving, treft10
<br />striping, retaining wall construction, and other appurtenant
<br />site Improvements.
<br />Pleasant Valley Road Improvements, Camarillo, CA
<br />(Project Manager)
<br />Carlos provided civil engineering design to Improve a 1,8-
<br />mile reach of Pleasant Valley Road, an Important arterial
<br />highway In the City of Camarillo. This project resulted from
<br />a condition of approval for the development of Village
<br />at the Park, a 450,acre master•planne l community,
<br />Improvements consisted of widening the road from two to
<br />four lanes; accommodating the widening of the bridge over
<br />Calleguas Creek and providing adequate froeboard at the
<br />Creek; two new traffic signals and a signal modification
<br />at Lewis Street; drainage Improvements; and a sewer
<br />force main to serve the newly -developed community. The
<br />project required permits from the City of Camarillo, and
<br />coordination with Caltrans and the County of Ventura.
<br />Jeffrey Road Infrastructure Improvements, Irvine, CA
<br />(Projeot Manager)
<br />Carlos managed the preparation of Infrastructure plans,
<br />Including street Improvements, right-of-way engineering,
<br />storm drains, streets, grading, water and sewer, dry
<br />utilities, speolfloations, and construction cost estimates for
<br />1.5 miles of Jeffrey Road for the City of Irvine. This project
<br />also included 1 mile of Portola Parkway improvements.
<br />Both Jeffrey Road and Portola Parkway include
<br />realignments and street design for a sic -lane highway
<br />with raised medians; pedestrian undemrossing; water and
<br />sewer relocations up to 36 Inches In diameter; and dry
<br />utility design for electricity, gas, and cable, Improvement
<br />plans were processed and approved by the City of Irvine,
<br />Irvine Ranch Water District, and the County of Orange,
