<br />Regional Advisor
<br />John has over 30 years of experience in the water Infrastructure,
<br />environmental, emergency management and water resources
<br />planning fields. John has split his career between the public and
<br />private sectors, and currently plays a key role in expanding our
<br />North American wide capabilities, providing leadership for water
<br />resource planning, environmental analysis, and floodplain
<br />management programs. John is a recognized expert in analyses
<br />conducted under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
<br />and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), as well the
<br />integration of floodplain management, water infrastructure and
<br />water resource planning.
<br />John has a strong background in local water/ wastewater agency
<br />operations and management, as well as stakeholder outreach and
<br />public involvement activities, and is a Certified Floodplain Manager
<br />(CFM), as well as a Certified Environmental Planner (CEP). John
<br />is a nationally -recognized expert in emergency planning, including
<br />risk assessment and mitigation planning. Prior to entering the
<br />private sector, John had a lengthy career in operations and
<br />management with a local water/ wastewater utility.
<br />John currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Floodplain
<br />Management Association (FMA), representing California, Nevada,
<br />and Hawaii, and Is serves as the Water Resources Chair for the
<br />National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP). He is
<br />also active with the Association of California Water Agencies, the
<br />Environmental Water Resources Institute, American Water
<br />Resources Association, and Mountain Counties Water Resources
<br />Association, and is an experienced public speaker.
