Scope of Services <br />We understand that our Gensler team will be <br />responsible for the Scope of Work described in your <br />RFP and the Architectural Services Agreement. <br />The following is a description of our approach to <br />providing these services to the Santa Ana Regional <br />Transportation Center New Bike Station along with <br />some additional detail. Our approach to the <br />development of the scope of services defined in your <br />Architectural Services Agreement is one that Is highly <br />collaborative and structured to maximize involvement <br />of key stakeholders while following an efficient <br />timeline. <br />Key to the success of this project is a process that: <br />• Establishes a shared vision for the project <br />• Aligns the project scope and construction budget <br />• Maintains quality control <br />• Achieves design excellence <br />• Our proposed approach and methodology is <br />outlined in the following phases and highlights <br />many of the activities that will take place in each <br />phase to support these important measures. <br />Task 1 <br />PRE -DESIGN PHASE <br />This first phase includes a kick off meeting with <br />your key team to clarify roles, responsibilities, <br />communication protocol, scope of the work, review <br />existing conditions on site, finalize project schedule, <br />establish project goals and objectives and identify <br />potential issues. At this Kick off meeting our team <br />will come prepared to review and validate the project <br />scope and budget on site provided in this RFP. <br />Activities will include the following: <br />• Confirm /Finalizing all related site requirements <br />• Confirm all services infrastructure requirements <br />• Confirming / Finalizing the building program <br />Establish any initial systems basis of design <br />concepts <br />Agreeing to detailed schedule (including all user <br />group meetings) <br />Review/validate the project scope, budget <br />and scheduleEstablishing weekly meetings <br />as required based on discussion with City <br />Representatives for the project <br />Establishing "Issues List' <br />Deliverables are to include: <br />• 1 to 3 conceptual floor plans <br />• Information and studies in relation to building <br />massing, proposed materials and signage. <br />• Conceptual exterior elevations for review with the <br />city as part f an internal review <br />• Single rendering for approved and selected <br />concept <br />Task 2 <br />DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASE - 50% <br />Based on the approved Pre -Design, the final design <br />is developed at the schematic level for all disciplines <br />including; Architectural, Civil/Landscape, Mechanical, <br />Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Sprinkler and Fire alarm. <br />Studies and documentation should include decisions <br />on materials, products, systems, assemblies, and final <br />layouts of spaces and equipment. <br />• Hold progress meetings with the key contacts <br />and user groups for City of Santa Ana <br />• Develop drawings based on approved Pre - <br />Design acceptance of <br />• Develop an outline specification for all disciplines <br />in <br />• Develop an "Opinion of Probable Cost" Estimate <br />• Review and acceptance of drawings, <br />specifications and estimate by City of Santa Ana <br />Gensler I Santa Ana Regional Transportation Bike Station <br />25N-38 <br />
