Bedding shall be exchanged at <br />least once each week. <br />EXISTING CONDITIONS AT THE SANTA ANA CITY JAIL FACILITY <br />The laundry area contains an office for mail processing and telephone review by facility staff. Laundry <br />service is conducted by staff and/or 1-2 inmates on an afternoon shift. No inmate trustees are assigned to <br />the laundry. The laundry consists of three commercial washers and three dryers. The room contains <br />storage for supplies, and a restroom. The room contains a large table for folding laundry which is a key <br />function. <br />The total space allocated to the laundry function is 2,784 square feet. <br />Observations and Evaluations - Consultant Evaluation Rating: 2.5 Adequate <br />• The three large commercial washers located in the jail are original equipment, and the 55 -Ib. washer <br />is approximately 17 years old. The washers leak continually and if the lint trap is not cleared after <br />each load, the room will flood. <br />• The three commercial dryers are 1, 5, and 10 years old and in good operating condition. <br />• The unisex restroom toilet is on a cement riser to meet ADA height requirements. <br />• Chemical storage is locked and secured per ICE requirements. <br />• The door leading to the bakery is locked and not in use. <br />• New and clean clothing storage is adequate to meet inmate custody demand. <br />Clean Laundry Storage <br />Clean Laundry Storage <br />65A-170 <br />Clean Laundry Storage <br />Commercial Dryers <br />Appendix B. <br />
