<br />The Tracks at Brea, California 
<br />DEA landscape architects and civil engineers 
<br />prepared conceptual plans and final construction 
<br />documents for 
<br />several segments 
<br />of the Tracks at 
<br />Brea, a four -mile 
<br />trail that traverses 
<br />from west to east 
<br />across the City of 
<br />Brea. Segment 3 is a 
<br />one -mile segment of 
<br />Class I meandering trail through an abandoned rail 
<br />corridor. The project scope included work between 
<br />Brea Boulevard and State College Boulevard 
<br />and incorporates both hard and soft surface trail, 
<br />native plantings, site furnishings, and a lighted 
<br />parking area. Segment 4 is a nearly one -mile long 
<br />multi -modal trail between State College and Birch 
<br />Street. The trail consists of separate paths for both 
<br />pedestrians and bicyclists. The meandering path is 
<br />approximately 20 feet wide, allowing 10 feet for each 
<br />use. Segment 2 included soil remediation and rough 
<br />grading construction. Segment 2 is approximately 
<br />1,400 lineal feet in length and terminates on the east 
<br />at Brea Boulevard. The work included coordination 
<br />with a geotechnical consultant to implement the 
<br />Removal Action Work Plan, the development of soil 
<br />removal and rough grading plans, and the N01 and 
<br />SWPPP. The rough grading plans were developed 
<br />to incorporate the concept plan prepared by DEA's 
<br />landscape architects. The project includes a dual 
<br />purpose trail system, site furnishings and plantings, 
<br />maintenance vehicle access, and a stair system for 
<br />access to Segment 1,

<br />court, signage, fitness area, a restroom, art in public 
<br />places, and parking. Sustainable features include 
<br />permeable paving, drought tolerant planting, solar 
<br />lighting, 'Smart' irrigation techniques, recycled/ 
<br />recyclable materials and groundwater recharge.
