He started <br />his career with SCST in 1983. Ron is responsible <br />for the oversight of construction projects that include <br />the testing and/or inspection of soils, foundations, <br />reinforced and post -tensioned concrete, masonry, <br />structural steel, fireproofing and asphalt pavement. He <br />provides technical support, monitors project process, <br />performance and budgetary conditions, assists <br />with proposal preparation, and attends project site <br />meetings. <br />PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />+ Valley Sanitary District Requa Interceptor, Indio, <br />CA: Director of field services during testing and <br />inspection for the construction of a $12.5 million <br />project, consisting of four miles (22,000 feet) of 10- <br />inch to 36-inch gravity flow sewer pipeline and related <br />utility improvements. <br />+ Highway 111 Improvements, Federal Project No. <br />STPL6275 (027), Indio, CA: Director of field services <br />during testing and inspection for the $11.5 million <br />project funded under Measure X to upgrade two miles <br />of Highway 111. The project will include widening of <br />Highway 111 from two lanes to three "through lanes" <br />in each direction, replacing and reconstruction of all <br />existing pavement with new pavement, replacing <br />six traffic signals, drainage improvements to help <br />alleviate flooding around Highway 111 and Monroe, <br />replacing 60 existing driveways with new ADA <br />compliant driveways that also makes ingress and <br />egress to businesses easier, and replacing all access <br />ramps, along with other ADA access improvements, <br />along sidewalks. <br />+ 1-10 at Jefferson Street Interchange (Local Federal <br />Aid Project No. STPLN-5956(235) and State <br />Federal Aid Project No. ACNHPI-010-4(064)E), <br />Indio, CA: Director of field services during testing <br />and inspection for construction of the $53 million <br />project which consisted of the a new interchange <br />with standard diamond ramps, loop entrance ramps, <br />and a new eight lane Jefferson Street overcrossing <br />over 1-10. Acceleration and decelerations lanes <br />were constructed on the westbound on -ramp and <br />eastbound off -ramp, and ramp metering was added <br />to the on -ramps. 1-10 was widened to accommodate a <br />future fourth lane. The project increases capacity and <br />improves traffic operations for the foreseeable future <br />+ Southbound Indio Boulevard Overhead <br />Earthquake Retrofit, Indio, CA: Director of field <br />services during testing and inspection services for <br />the $3.1 million retrofit which consisted of abutment <br />bolster retrofit, bent retrofit with restrainer columns, <br />cap retrofits, girder splice retrofit, and a new pier <br />protection wall. <br />City of Coachella Public Library, Coachella, CA: <br />Director of field services during testing and inspection <br />services for this design/build library project consists of <br />a one-story, 15,000 SF building.
