<br />As a Field Operations Manager for Ninyo & Moore, Mr. Solis is responsible for per-
<br />forming quality control and quality assurance testing of soil, aggregate, asphalt, and
<br />concrete materials in accordance with applicable ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI. With
<br />38 years of experience, his extensive project involvement includes both field and
<br />laboratory testing of soils and construction materials. He is involved in geotechnical
<br />observation and testing services during earthwork operations, including mass grading
<br />operations, trench and wall backfill, and roadway and building pad subgrade prepa-
<br />ration, as well as providing inspection of asphalt and concrete batch plants. Mr. Solis
<br />also has extensive experience in the requirements and specifications in Greenbook
<br />for public works construction projects.

<br />anchors, epoxy anchors and shot pins, as appropriate, batch plant inspection services
<br />during production of structural concrete, sampling and testing of aggregate base
<br />and asphalt pavement, welding and bolting inspection services during structural steel
<br />fabrication at the plant and during erection at the site, non-destructive examination
<br />of welds at the fabrication plant and at the site, glu-lam inspection services during
<br />beam production at the fabrication shop, as well as laboratory testing, including high
<br />strength bolt conformance testing and compressive strength testing of concrete
<br />materials sampled in the field.
<br />County of San Bernardino, Forensic Crime Laboratory, San Bernardino,
<br />California: Field Operations Manager for the as -needed materials testing and
<br />inspection services contract, which provides on-call support on a variety of
<br />construction projects throughout the County. For the new 19,924 -square -foot
<br />laboratory, geotechnical evaluation and infiltration testing was performed to evaluate
<br />the subsurface soil conditions and provide recommendations for construction, then
<br />geotechnical, inspection, and materials testing services. During construction, services
<br />included field and laboratory testing of subgrade, base materials, asphalt concrete,
<br />Portland cement concrete materials, concrete compression testing and maximum
<br />density testing of soils and sand equivalent.
