Project Case Studies <br />Poway Unified School District <br />37Y6 Annual Energy Savings <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />This project was Installed for the Poway Unified School District in Poway, California from 2014 , 2016, ERC worked <br />as a subcontractor for Barnham Construction and together the companies won a bid RFP that was valued at $1,5M. <br />The project featured funding from California trop 59, as wail as significant rebates from SDG&E, <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Project images <br />✓ Designed and Installed new LED lighting for two elementary and two high schools In the PUSD. <br />✓ The retrofit solution included the reptacement of all HID and Fluorescent technology with LED. <br />✓ CREE LED troffer fixtures, CREE 131-1-evel wall packs, LED Can retrofit kits, LED Type A Tubes with new <br />ballasts, and CREE Area Lights. <br />✓ Installation of low voltage 0.10V dimming controls in all classrooms and offices., <br />Overall reduction of 373/6in. energy use. <br />Overall project cost = $1.5M. <br />PROJECT CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS <br />✓ The District stated it was Important that the new dimming controls technology be easy to use by the school <br />room teachers and the school staff. <br />✓ Our Team designed a Lighting Controls Solution that Included occupancy sensors, controls, and dimming <br />technology that were easy to use by the staff, ERC offered a commissioning process which featured both <br />training for the staff as well as system setup in each room. <br />✓ Low Voltage 0.10V dimming controls were designed to ensure that dimming circuit #1 controlled the two <br />fixtures directly in front of the classroom projector screen, whereas the balance of the fixtures in the <br />classroom were controlled by dimming circuit #2. <br />Emrnay ReTiiaom Mti <br />
