City of Santa Ana Addendum to the
MainPlace Mall Transformation Proiect Fashion Square Commercial Center Final EIR
Traffic Impact Analysis, which is based on existing conditions, determines no widening
of Main Street is necessary to reduce any potential impacts. Regarding Mitigation
Measure 5.6-4, this measure was previously implemented with the development of Main
Place Drive, which is part of the proposed Project. Regarding Mitigation Measure 5.6-5,
this measure required certain improvements to the site's Main Street entrance, and to
Town and Country Road, which have already been implemented. Regarding Mitigation
Measure 5.6-6, this measure requires installation of traffic signals, which have already
been implemented. Regarding Mitigation Measure 5.6-7, this measure requires
implementation of a rideshare and transportation demand reduction plan, which has
already been in place, and would continue to be in place with implementation of the
proposed Project. Finally, regarding Mitigation Measure 5.6-8, this measure requires
that buildings on the Project site be designed to accommodate second level access
from a future transit station on Main Street. The existing buildings have been designed
as such; therefore, this measure has been implemented. Further, no transit station was
ever built and none are currently planned in this location.
97
