City of Santa Ana Addendum to the
MainPlace Mall Transformation Proiect Fashion Square Commercial Center Final EIR
Table AQ-2 compares modeled emissions of the proposed Project, the Originally
Approved Plan, and the Current Entitlements. As detailed in Section 5.6, Traffic and
Circulation, the proposed Project would generate fewer vehicular trips than both the
Originally Approved Plan and the Current Entitlements. This would result in a net
decrease in mobile source emissions.
The ROG emissions from the proposed Project would be slightly higher than the Current
Entitlements because residential uses generate more area source emissions than
commercial and office uses. However, this is not considered significant because the
17.49 increase in ROG emissions is below the SCAQMD threshold of significance of 55,
and because the ROG emissions would be less than the emissions identified in the
1983 EIR. Therefore, the proposed Project would not result in any new adverse impacts
or substantially increase the severity of any previously identified impacts.
Table AQ-2: Comparison of Operational CalEEMod Emissions from Each
Entitlement
Source I ROG I NO.
